Donald Glover dropped a surprise album during the wee hours of Sunday morning as a slight distraction to the Corona Virus. The 12 track album doesn’t seem to have a title as of yet rather than Donald Glover Presents with features from SZA, Ariana Grande and 21 Savage. The album was not released on any streaming service rather than a designated website solely for the untitled album which was later removed from the website.
The website also features a four panel picture of a crowd of people in a middle of a riot while some appear to be frightened and panicked while others are excited, a scene that recalls Donald Glovers provocative Grammy award winning and subtext heavy music video “This is America”. Donald Glover for years has hinted that he will release his last album by his long time alter ego Childish Gambino but the latest album doesn’t seem to give a clear indication of which name will be used on the album.
Donald Glover Presents” is also the name of the artist’s footwear brand in partnership with Adidas. http://donaldgloverpresents.com

Shane Eagle has finally released his much anticipated ‘Paris” music video featuring Nasty C and directed by the genius of cinematography that is Imraan Christian. The music video was released at a private location and hosted by Nomuzi Mabena.
Imraan had to say this about the video during the Q&A session, “Imagine they made a video for you, Saturday morning when you wake up before you go do whatever you doing and you watching this thing and you super inspired, that was the only as I wanted to create something a kid would love.”
Watch the Paris music video and read all about it on last week’s The Drop on the Carve Africa website.
